Game Design Instructor

Company:  GAME-U

Role: Game Design Instructor
Location: Hamilton, NJ or Mt. Laurel, NJ
Schedule: Part-time

Job Description

You

You grew up using technology and gravitated to it early, taking courses or even majoring with a technical degree (i.e. Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Education, App, Games or Robotics Development). Your curiosity and desire to learn about coding, games development and robotics is strong. You have a passion for evangelizing tech and sharing your experiences with others, and you recognize the impact your contributions can make on the next generation growing up today.

Speaking of the next generation, you enjoy working with kids and have done so at some point in your past. You understand that this is not a “lecturing” type of instruction, but rather is as hands-on and engaging for students as possible. You know that making games can be difficult, but staying on that pathway and learning as much as possible can be extremely rewarding for kids!

About Us

GAME-U offers after-school & summer programs that teach kids (Age 6 & Up) how to design and build their own video-games! We are experienced video game professionals who have worked for some of the top names in the industry, such as Microsoft, Sony, EA, LucasArts, Activision, and more. We combine the fun of video games with a safe, supportive environment that encourages a lifetime of learning and explorations. We are looking to fill positions in Hamilton, NJ and Mt. Laurel, NJ.

The Role

Instructor will teach private lessons in our Accelerate Program, which is designed to teach students of all abilities. These classes are generally scheduled between 9am-6pm Monday through Friday, with optional weekend hours.  This is a part-time position

Pluses

You have experience working on game development projects, either as a team or independent, ideally using Unity, Unreal, CryEngine or similar. You are excited to learn more about your craft, and even branch out beyond your skills to learn other aspects of games development.
